HOPE USA is a volunteer-based non-profit charitable organization working to provide urgent health and education services to the disadvantaged in Pakistan and other developing countries. HOPE USA supports health and education for underprivileged communities of Pakistan, through the schools and programs of the not-for-profit organization; HOPE (Health Oriented Preventive Education).
Sarah Haider – President HOPE USA
Sarah Haider – President HOPE USA Is a seasoned leader and project manager with over fifteen years experience in managing technical as well as community projects. She has led and managed projects, both locally and internationally, in a variety of industries, including professional and community non-profit organizations. She is currently working as Manager Program Management Office for Baker Hughes, managing a portfolio of new product development projects. Sarah is also the founder of the Pakistan Adoption Group, an online resource for information on adoption of children from Pakistan. Sarah is also an avid supporter of HOPE Foundation and has been instrumental in creating awareness about HOPE’s mission in the Greater Houston area
Danish Agboatwala, Coordinator
Danish Agboatwala is the co-founder of HOPE, U.S.A. a U.S. based not for profit that is in the process of obtaining tax-exempt status. He has been involved with HOPE for the last several years, and is spearheading efforts to launch HOPE USA, a not for profit which will raise funds for HOPE Pakistan and other NGOs in Pakistan. He is currently completing his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a focus in Finance. Danish completed his undergraduate studies from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and is a native of Karachi.
Naveed Agboatwala, Assistant Coordinator
Naveed Agboatwalla, Asst. Coordinator, HOPE USA is Berkeley graduate with majors in Electrical Engineering and computer science – with a Bachelors Degree. He is presently working as Software Development Manager at EMC Corporation. He is involved in work at IECRC. He is based in California and looking after the HOPE USA Affairs.
Shafath Syed, Coordinator California
Shafath Syed lives in the San Francisco Bay Area in California with his wife Fareena and his daughter Imaan who was recently adopted through HOPE. By profession he is a marketing manager at Adobe Systems and worked at other high technology companies including Apple and Microsoft. He has a long history of volunteering in the Muslim community and is currently the president of SBIA (South Bay Islamic Association) as well an executive committee member of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations).
Mr Amir Jameel
Mr. Aamir Jameel is President and co-founder of Altanova Corporation. Altanova Corp. designs and manufactures IC test interface hardware for all IC manufacturers worldwide. Headquarter are at San Jose and CA USA, with branch offices in Austin Texas, Phoenix Arizona, San Jose, Costa Rica and Karachi, Pakistan. Mr. Aamir graduated from Purdue University in 1992 in the field of Electrical Engineering. He has been working in Semiconductor Test Industry for the last 18 years. Mr. Aamir Jameel was introduced to HOPE last year (2009) and since then has been an avid supporter of HOPE. Committed to the HOPE vision, he is the promoter of the HOPE cause in the Silicon Valley.
Dr Farid Qazi
Dr. Farid Qazi, a USA based Oncologist. Dr. Farid Qazi is a specialist in Blood disorders and Cancer treatment and is in a solo practice at Dublin Hematology & Oncology Care, PC. He has served as an assistant professor of internal medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine Dr. Farid Qazi, has been ex President DOGANA and socially very active. Dr. Farid Qazi initiated the Support a Marriage project in USA and within a period of 1 month has secured commitments for 15 marriages for poor girls. Dr. Farid Qazi is now actively campaigning for other projects of HOPE Foundation in USA and recently in his visit to Pakistan visited the HOPE facilities.
Meher Dadi lives in Los Angeles California. She is a graduate from Pakistan with majors in Chemistry and Microbiology and Computer Science from Connecticut, U.S.A. She is presently working at Union Bank in Information Technology as a Database Administrator/System Specialist managing and supporting SQL SERVER, DB2 and Oracle Databases. She volunteered in the establishment of Islamic Center/Masjid for the small Muslim community in West Hartford, Connecticut and in Northridge California. She is affiliated with local charity organization like NISWA in Los Angeles. She does volunteer work for charity organizations helping the poor and needy people in U.S., Pakistan and India. She also directly supports families in Pakistan every month with food. She is determined to dedicate all her time and effort towards helping the poor, orphan children and battered women. Meher Dadi has recently joined HOPE USA and is generating local support in Los Angeles for HOPE USA.
Dr Rizwan Jabir
Dr. Rizwan Jabir, a renowned Pediatrician, has been practicing in Indiana Pa., USA, for the past 14 years. In all he has been in the US for the past 18 years. Dr. Rizwan and his wife Amina are both graduates from Dow Medical College. Dr. Rizwan completed his residency training in Pediatrics/Neonatal care from Rush University (University of Illinois at Chicago). Dr. Rizwan is an ardent supporter of HOPE, involved in the NGO’s health programs. Recently his daughter interned with HOPE and his wife Dr. Amina visited the Thatta center. During his visit last year to Pakistan, Dr. Rizwan conducted a medical camp in Thatta. sHOPE is pleased to have a new Friend of HOPE who is working towards the betterment of his countrymen.
Mr Zafar Naqvi
Mr Naqvi graduated from the University of Sindh in 1967 and went on to obtaining a law degree. He has received various certificates of appreciation from Services Coordinating Council Hyderabad, Sindh and Rotary Club Nawabshah, Sind. After working in Saudi Arabia, Mr Naqvi moved to the US, where he worked as Director of Human Resources from 1985 to 2007. Mr Naqvi has become an active force behind the HOPE USA Foundation.\
Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla
Dr. Mubina is the visionary behind HOPE, founded the NGO in 1997 with a group of dedicated workers committed to bringing literacy and health to the neglected urban slums of Karachi while working at the grassroots level. Under her direction, HOPE has established two community centers, two hospitals and several informal schools in Karachi and Thatta.
Nasar Agboatwala was elected President of HOPE USA in late 2017. Born to Indian and Pakistani parents, Nasar has made numerous visits back to Pakistan throughout his childhood and adulthood. In addition to serving as president, he works in marketing for a tech company based out of Silicon Valley and volunteers at the local mosque for Sunday school.
During his time as country head at P&G Pakistan, Qaisar worked closely with several non profit organizations engaged in providing education to the under privileged and in disaster relief. He continues to serve on the board of some of these organizations. He is presently serving on the board of HOPE USA, and the Executive Committee of US Pakistan Foundation.
Naveen Khan is HOPE’s secretary and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. She is a graduate from San Francisco State University with major in Public Health. By profession, she is a events coordinator for a major technology company in Silicon Valley. She has a long history of volunteering in different Non Profit Organizations throughout her upbringing.
Ambereen is honored to be an active member of HOPE USA since July 2018. In her travels to Pakistan, she has seen firsthand the difference HOPE has made in bettering the socioeconomic forefront of the country. Her primary focus is grant-writing and seeking corporate and foundation funding opportunities for HOPE. She has also been involved in volunteer recruitment, marketing, and fundraising efforts.
