HOPE is improving access to EMOC by addressing the three delays: Community – Transport – Hospital. HOPE has targeted a population of 100,000 covering 199 villages. 210 traditional birth attendants received training for EMOC and early referral. Safe Delivery Kits have been provided and community facilitators have been trained to recognize danger signs. Midwives and TBA’s have been trained for early referral and comprehensive Obstetric care has been provided under care of gynecologists.
